     The transport in the Serres prefecture is considered perfect in every aspect. The road network is in a very good condition, while works for the correction of the provincial network are still in progress.

     The prefecture of Serres doesn’t have a port or an airport but its needs are covered by the Macedonia Airport in Thessaloniki, and the Hrisoupoli Airport in Kavala.
     Through the sea, needs are covered by the Port of Thessaloniki and Kavala.
     The transport in the town is carried out through the city buses, the terminal of which is in the center of town, the Commerce Square. The transport with the rest municipalities and communities of the prefecture is carried out by the means of KTEL or KTEAL buses.
