At the estuary of the Strymon river into the Strymon gulf a natural delta was formed, an area with rich flora and fauna. The natural harbor, which was improved by man's mild intervention, is a place where local fishermen, professional and amateur, anchor their caiques and boats.

     Not far from there is the Municipal Department of N Kerdylia with its wonderful beach as well as the archaeological site of Amphipolis.
