Historic mount standing in the eastern part of the county, with a sparse vegetation of beeches and firs. The association of the natives in the village of Proti now living in Thessaloniki established a mountaineering shelter at the location called “Pouliana”.

     1200 m. above sea level, it can be accessed by car and offers hospitality to the friends of mountains all year round. On the day of the Ascension of Christ the established customs is to organize a feast and to offer to guests the traditional Greek bean soup.
