A 5 km asphalt paved road leads you from Nigrita to “Thermae” spa, with a hotel, restaurant and complete facilities, in an area owned by the National Tourism Organization of Greece. 

     The health centre has a C category hotel with a capacity of 64 beds and complete bath installations. It is open from June the 1st  till October the 30th. 

     Hydrotherapy takes place either in private or in common baths, while the diseases for which is advisable are sciatica, spondylarthritis, and rheumatalgia.

     “Gerakina Hotel”, property of the Municipal Tourism concern of Nigrita, which has been run since 1991, is the ideal place of residence for the bathers at the medicinal water springs. 

     The place is also appropriate for athletic events in the county of Serres to be held, assuring peacefulness, easy transportation and training in the complete athletic facilities (football ground with turf, basketball court, indoor gymnasium) all within a distance of 100 m from the hotel.
